Our client is a leading industrial products manufacturer that supports the automotive and specialist vehicle industry.


This market leading manufacturer has won some significant new contracts that will lead to considerable growth in revenue and profitability. As the business looks to enhance its operating efficiencies, supporting strong customer demand, they have a need for an experienced Operations Director.


Reporting to the Managing Director, the Operations Director will shape the manufacturing, assembly and supply chain systems and processes to ensure the site can meet further growth in demand.


Responsibilities include:

  • The effective management, control and optimisation of all site functions encompassing production, assembly and a complex component supply chain, enhancing program delivery
  • Strategic planning and the implementation of plans to meet the company’s strategic goals
  • Leadership and development of the site management team ensuring accountability and delivery of goals and objectives
  • Responsible for the delivery of SIOP to further enhance revenue and profitability performance
  • Further develop and enhance robust KPI’s, ensuring better visibility, accountability and performance
  • Development of existing and future leadership potential driving a culture of continous learning


What they are looking for:


Extensive experience leading and managing industrial operations encompassing assembly, project engineering, lean manufacturing and complex component supply chains. Experience in machining, fabrication and complex assembly favoured.


  • A demonstrable track record of success gained ideally as an operations leader in an Automotive or industrial manufacturing environment
  • An inspirational leader with experience leading and taking multi-functional teams working across engineering, production, assembly, supply chain and quality on an operational improvement journey
  • A straightforward and inclusive leader who sets direction, goals and process expectations that ensure accountability and performance delivery
  • Educated to a degree level, high-level management qualification and Lean Practitioner with a record of Lean implementation
