Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Sales Executive with a strong background in public sector projects or enterprise sales within the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying, developing, and managing relationships with key stakeholders in government bodies, public sector organizations, and large enterprises. This role requires deep knowledge of public procurement processes, tendering, and complex sales cycles in the UK market.
The Sales Executive will play a critical role in positioning our company as a trusted partner in delivering tailored solutions, and managing the entire sales lifecycle from lead generation to contract negotiation and closure. Candidates must be adept at working within the regulatory frameworks of the public sector and navigating enterprise-level sales structures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy Development: Develop and execute sales strategies to penetrate public sector markets, including federal, state, and local government entities.
- Business Development: Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within the UK public sector and enterprise markets, focusing on securing high-value contracts and partnerships.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within public sector organizations.
- Proposal Management: Prepare and present compelling proposals, respond to RFPs (Requests for Proposals), and manage the bid process in collaboration with internal teams.
- Market Research: Conduct research to identify new business opportunities and stay informed about industry trends, government policies, and public sector procurement processes.
- Account Management: Oversee the entire sales cycle from lead generation to contract negotiation and closing, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Compliance and Regulation: Ensure all sales activities comply with relevant government regulations and procurement policies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams including product development, marketing, and customer support to align solutions with public sector needs.
- Reporting: Track sales performance metrics, prepare regular reports for management, and analyze data to refine sales strategies.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, with a focus on the public sector preferred. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of public sector procurement processes and regulations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with government officials and agencies.
- Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Other Requirements:
