SEN Teaching Assistant

Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Tower Hamlets Salary: £90 to £110 per day (dependent on experience) GSL Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work in special schools in Tower Hamlets. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Previous experience in an SEN setting is preferred. Key Responsibilities: Provide tailored one-to-one and group support to students with a range of special needs. Assist in the implementation of personalised education and behaviour management plans. Work alongside teachers and other support staff to ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment. Help students with their emotional, social, and academic development. Support students with their daily activities and promote independence. Foster a positive, nurturing environment for students, encouraging progress and confidence. Requirements: Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in an SEN setting is highly desirable. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage challenging behaviour. Patience, empathy, and resilience when working with students who have complex needs. A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection protocols. Ability to adapt to the needs of individual students and work as part of a team. Why Join Us?
