Mechanical Engineer – Foundry Environment
Location: Derbyshire Salary: £48,000 per annum + Monthly Bonus Shift Pattern: Panama Days Shift
Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Engineer:
* Preventative Maintenance & Repairs: Perform routine and reactive maintenance on foundry equipment and machinery to minimize downtime.
* Hydraulics & Pneumatics Expertise: Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
* Interpret Engineering Drawings: Read and work from detailed mechanical engineering drawings for the installation, repair, and maintenance of machinery.
* Health & Safety: Adhere to safety standards and practices, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
The Ideal Mechanical Engineer:
* Experience: Proven background as a Mechanical Engineer, ideally within a foundry, heavy industrial, or manufacturing setting.
* Technical Skills: Strong understanding and practical experience with hydraulics and pneumatics systems.
* Drawings Interpretation: Ability to accurately read and work from complex mechanical engineering drawings.
* Qualifications: Relevant engineering qualifications (NVQ, HNC, or equivalent) would be advantageous.
