Rural Retreat - Accom, bills free of charge £45k+ package - Fantastic Work/Life Balance Rural Chef Rewards: Our client is offering a salary of around £28,000 to £32,000 plus accommodation (Onsite 2 bedroom accommodation) worth £12k free of charge, and an additional, outstanding company benefits package as well as potential future equity dividends. The Place: This esteemed Estate is now looking to appoint an on-site Chef for this private family-run Estate set within the beautiful rural countryside of South West of Scotland, Under the Stewardship of the family the whole Estate has been re-positioned over the last 4 years through a Multi-million-pound investment plan. The estate is now starting to see revenue returns into the business which now consists of a diverse range of hospitality businesses focussed on delivering high-standard holiday lets Private Shooting, Fishing, and Golfing events within a responsible tourism approach, as well as tailoring "Bespoke" hospitality events, eg weddings and TV and Film locational shoots. The Job: Based at the Estate, you will report directly to the Owner and you will work with the Estate's retained General Manager to ensure all culinary delivery for the Estate, You will be involved in the coordination and the progression of all the culinary projects, from breakfast through to private dinners, from walking groups to shooting groups, there will be a wide, diverse clientele to keep you busy. You may do outside catering to local manor houses either to heat up or on-site preparation or the next day, work with gardeners on making soups; sauces; marmalades; chutneys and preserving via jars and freezing food coming out of the extensive gardens. Other tasks would include making homemade bread for welcome baskets as such and did we tell you there is an on-site cook school as well that you assist with? Your 40-hour week will be adjustable to the events planned. The Person: They want their next Chef to enjoy working in a quality environment, which is key, especially in understanding the difference between working in a rural economy versus an extensive city infrastructure. Be able to demonstrate that you have worked well without supervision, ie 1 chef events. You must be professionally trained with certification and some experience in restaurants/catering to a certain degree. Own transport is very desirable.
