Job Title:                              Transport Administrator                                                    Location:                             Howden, East Riding of Yorkshire                                 Salary:                                 up to £25k Hours of Work:                40 Hours Monday – Friday Type:                                  Permanent Start Date:                        Immediately A well established, cross border business trading in the sale of capital equipment, plant and machinery, now require a Transport Administrator to join their busy team in Yorkshire on a permanent basis. Duties • Assist with obtaining quotes and raising purchase orders. • Source new suppliers globally ensuring routes and schedules used are efficient and cost effective. • Complete customs declarations and any regulatory paperwork as required. • Assist with coordinating third party equipment being shipped and transported worldwide ensuring all loads are hauled timely meeting all auction and shipping deadlines. • Communicate and update other departments on status of loads. You We're on the lookout for someone with exceptional planning and organisational skills. Highly organised with attention to detail and excellent forward planning skills with the ability to problem solve in pressured situations. Essential Criteria: • A minimum of 1 years’ experience in a similar role. • Ability to take instruction as well as work on own initiative and follow Health & Safety legislation. • Ability to report and summarise. • Excellent forward planning skills with the ability to problem solve in pressured situations.
