Berkeley Scott is seeking a dedicated School Chef Manager to join our team, providing exceptional culinary services to schools across the West Midlands. Position: Education Chef Manager Location: Various locations across the West Midlands Company: Berkeley Scott Hourly Rate: £18-£22 per hour Key Responsibilities: Oversee and manage daily kitchen operations as the lead School Chef Manager in school settings. Plan and prepare nutritious and appealing meals for students, adhering to dietary requirements and preferences. Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations, maintaining high standards as a Chef. Manage kitchen staff, providing training and support as needed to ensure a well-functioning team under your leadership as Chef. Maintain inventory and order supplies, ensuring cost-effective and efficient kitchen management as a responsible Chef. Collaborate with school staff to create a positive dining experience for students, enhancing the school's reputation with your expertise as a Chef. Requirements: Proven experience as a chef, preferably in a school or similar environment. Strong leadership and management skills. Excellent knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines. Passion for creating healthy, balanced meals for children. Flexibility to work across various locations within the West Midlands.
