Our client is a local business based in Wednesbury who are looking to add a Credit Controller to their existing, stable team. THE ROLE You will report to the Finance Manager of an international business. The role involves responsibility for a large ledger of live accounts, chasing payments and dealing with all queries. You will be raising invoices, dealing with debit and credit notes, allocation of cash and reconciling the petty cash. There will be some complex customers to deal with so a good eye for detail is essential. You will also be required to build relationships with clients, dealing with all types of clients from small to large companies. Other duties will include general adhoc admin duties such as credit checking and opening new accounts. This role is a target driven role so would suit someone who is used to working in a fast-moving environment. Someone who is happy to get on the phones and chase overdue payments. REQUIREMENTS You will have worked in a credit control role and have had full ownership of a ledger of accounts for 2 – 3 years, preferably with high volume experience. You will be committed, hardworking and you will be a good communicator and be able to work in a team of established staff. You will need little supervision and have the experience to prioritise a heavy, demanding workload. You will be a problem solver, and a knowledge of SAP would be an advantage. COMPANY BENEFITS The company offer excellent working conditions and onsite parking. A competitive salary of £26,000 - £30,000. You will rota shifts 8.00am – 4.30pm, 8.30am – 5.00pm and 9.00am – 5.30pm. Life assurance available too. The role is 3 days per week office based and two days at home
