Chichester College have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Associate Lecturer in Maths and English at our Chichester campus. You will join us on a variable basis and in return, we will offer a competitive salary of £25.30 - £39.47 per hour. The Associate Lecturer role: Are you passionate about delivering a curriculum that develops learners’ maths and/or English skills helps them achieve their key GCSE qualifications? Chichester College is recruiting a bank of Associate Lecturers to teach Maths and/or English GCSE and Functional Skills and engage with a diverse range of learners. This is a flexible role that enables you to accept work assignments when convenient for you – perhaps you are looking for that ideal role to fit around family responsibilities or an additional job from which you can earn an extra bit of money. Your expertise and enthusiasm will ensure our students are equipped with the knowledge needed to excel in their courses and enable them to develop key maths or English skills for everyday life. Key Responsibilities of our Associate Lecturer: To undertake teaching and learning related activities, as agreed. To ensure that appropriate learning materials are prepared and assessments and assignments are undertaken in a timely manner. To undertake administration and provide reports and statistics regarding student and teaching matters. To contribute to the development of curricula and learning activities, taking into consideration literacy and numeracy development, and equality and diversity. To understand personal responsibilities in relation to Safeguarding. Keep up-to-date with current issues, changes, and policies relating to the educational sector. Adopt a proactive approach to participation in appropriate meetings and training, as agreed with the curriculum area. To undertake the delivery of literacy and numeracy. Our ideal Associate Lecturer should have the below skills and experience: Level 3 (or equivalent) in related subject Relevant GCSE / Functional Skills teaching and assessing experience in a related subject An understanding of safeguarding vulnerable groups Time management skills, organisational skills and the ability to meet targets and deadlines Innovative and creative in meeting the needs of learners The Chichester College Group has seven colleges, Anglia Examinations, First Steps Childcare Group, Chichester English School and 2,600 staff spread across West Sussex and Brighton & Hove.
