I am recruiting for a leading UK law firm based in Cardiff. This role is perfect for someone looking to take the next step in their career as an experienced IT Manager. You will be overseeing Infrastructure, DevOps and Security. The successful candidate will be pivotal in managing day-to-day IT operations, maintaining high standards of IT service delivery, and safeguarding our IT infrastructure.
The role
Execute and oversee the existing IT strategy in alignment with the firm’s goals, ensuring effective and timely delivery of IT projects.
Manage and mentor a team of IT professionals, including the Service Desk Manager, Service Delivery Manager, and IT Security & Operations Manager.
Ensure the service desk operates efficiently.
Oversee the delivery of IT services, ensuring they meet business needs and comply with established SLAs.
Lead IT infrastructure initiatives to ensure robust and reliable systems. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and manage operational risks effectively.
Collaborate with senior management and other stakeholders to understand and address IT needs.
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Proven experience in a senior IT management role, ideally within the legal sector or a professional services environment.
Strong understanding of IT service management, IT infrastructure, and operations management.
Demonstrated ability to implement IT strategies and lead large-scale IT projects.
Excellent leadership and team management skills with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
