We obsess about designing products that will change the way global companies, governments and nonprofits protect themselves from external threats and global adversaries.Position Overview: We're looking for a skilled Azure Infrastructure/Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with a focus on Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to join our rapidly growing team. Your role will involve designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure cloud infrastructure on Azure, while ensuring the infrastructure's reliability and availability for data processing in the petabyte scale. You will collaborate with our developers to provide a robust platform for our innovative applications.You'll leverage your experience in dealing with big data and complex problems to ensure that our infrastructure is not only stable, but also optimized for our unique needs. You'll be working on tasks that don't necessarily have out-of-the-box solutions and will need to use your skills, creativity, and understanding of our mission to find the right answers.Team Principles:At Atreides, we believe that teams work best when they:Remain curious and passionate in all aspects of our workPromote clear, direct, and transparent communicationEmbrace the 'measure twice, cut once' philosophyValue and encourage diverse ideas and technologiesLead with empathy in all interactionsResponsibilities:Design, implement and maintain scalable, secure Azure infrastructure, with a focus on Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)Continually monitor and optimize infrastructure for availability, performance and cost-effectivenessCollaborate with software engineers to ensure infrastructure effectively supports application requirementsMaintain high-level system security and implement necessary security measuresUtilize your expertise in big data to ensure infrastructure is optimized for data processing on a petabyte scaleLead troubleshooting and resolution efforts for infrastructure issues, providing swift and reliable solutionsCollaborate with Third Party entities that are co-delivering to Customer to liaise and supply expertise on Cloud / Technical DevopsDevelop and maintain detailed documentation of infrastructure design and specificationsWork in collaboration with multiple third party vendors on cutting edge defense facing programs, to include a plethora of sensor and cloud integration platformsConsistent advisory and collaborative work on niche technical asks, demanding outside the box problem solving to provide obscure solutionsDesired Qualifications:3+ years of experience in Azure Infrastructure and/or SRE roles. Azure certificates in Network, Admin, Security and Hybrid Admin a plus. AWS experience is a plusStrong background in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Pulumi or Terraform or CloudFormation along with experience in deploying and managing Kubernetes clustersProficiency in implementing and integrating VPN solutions and overlay services, such as those from Cloudflare, into complex cloud-hosted network infrastructuresKnowledge of big data tools and environments, having previously worked with at least 100TB of data at production scaleExperience with SQL and noSQL environmentsFamiliarity with geospatial data formats such as Parquet/GeoParquet, GeoJSON, and Shapefiles is a plus.Experience in using DevOps tools such as Git, Docker, Jenkins, etc.Knowledge of networking concepts such as IP Protocol, DNS, and load balancing, spanning both hardware and software, with experience from cloud infrastructures to physical systems, ideally with exposure to CCNA certification.Experience with orchestration like Dagster, Prefect, Airflow or TemporalExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly in a high-performance environment.The ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
