Senior Credit Controller

Career Moves are seeking an experienced temporary Senior Credit Controller to ensure the efficient operation of our client’s sales ledger in line with their company policies.

This role is a stand-alone role within a large finance team, the successful candidate must be self sufficient and happy to use their own initiative.

Please be aware this is a temporary role and requires 4 days a week in the central London office.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement credit policies to meet cash and debtor targets.
• Work across both product and services led client portfolios
• Liaise closely with BPO offshore credit team
• Pursue overdue debts through phone, email, and letters within agreed timeframes.
• Resolve disputed invoices, negotiating payments within agreed terms.
• Maintain accurate sales ledger accounts.
• Address customer issues with a holistic, solution-focused approach.
• Process new customer credit applications using credit reference agencies.
• Post and allocate payments to accounts as needed.
• Collaborate with finance and sales teams to manage customer accounts within the agreed framework and credit terms.

About You

• Minimum of 3+ years of credit control experience in a similar or senior role.
• SAP experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proactive problem-solving approach.
• Skilled in influencing, negotiating, and managing challenging customers or situations.
• Independent problem solver with the ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
• Works well under pressure with a keen eye for detail.
• Effective management and coaching skills to optimize team performance.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and Teams.
