Assistant Management Accountant

Search Consultancy are partnering with a well established and well know business in Harrogate who are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Management Accountant to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will support the management accounting function by assisting in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts. This role is crucial in helping to ensure the financial health and efficiency of the organisation. Reporting to the Corporate Finance Manager you will assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets, whilst supporting the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. You will help analyse financial data and prepare reports for management to aid decision-making. You will monitor and report on departmental spending against budgets and assist with the month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations. You will also provide support for audits, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards, whilst maintaining accurate financial records and assist in the preparation of financial statements. To be considered for this role you will meet the below criteria: Currently studying towards ACCA or CIMA or AAT Qualified looking to commence further study Previous experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in management accounting. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Commitment to continuous professional development and learning. What's on offer?
