Why is this role important and how does it fit into the team, department, and wider firm?


This is a key role in the firm’s design team which will be responsible for the creation and delivery of videos, photography, and design work to support a wide range of internal and external marketing initiatives. They will help to create highly impactful, creative and audience specific visual communications across all areas of the firm that bring out brand positioning to life. This will include the creation of video for thought leadership campaigns, client events, internal team days and social media including LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube.


The role will require someone who is willing to travel across our office network on a regular basis to facilitate videography and photography. There will be opportunity for creativity and learning in this role, working with an experienced and established design team and marketing team with a wide set of skills and expertise.



What does the role involve?


Video production and editing:

  • Be responsible for the creation of video across the firm and supporting self-service video production.
  • Producing edits using our Adobe suite and sharing them with stakeholders for feedback.
  • Collaborate across BD & Marketing and with key stakeholders to produce and deliver videos in a range of formats for both internal and external audiences.
  • Manage multiple projects at the same time, keeping them on brand, to brief, questioning ROI and meeting requested deadlines.


Photography and image library management:

  • Organise and take photos independently including headshots and reportage style photography, or use suppliers, subject to agreed budget spend with the Design Manager and Head of Marketing.
  • Be responsible for managing the firm’s library of stock photography, along with other members of the design team. This includes:
  • Maintaining an up-to-date library of brand images available for anyone across the business to use.
  • Selecting and downloading new photography regularly.
  • Building and maintaining an asset library, which can be used across the business.
  • Adding any photos to the library and ensuring they are tagged appropriately.


Design support:

  • Working closely with the senior design exec to manage and support on a variety of design tasks as required. For example, this could include working on:
  • PPT layouts
  • infographics
  • brochures
  • banners and events collateral etc.
  • quality review


Other:

  • Assist with the production of podcast series – including (but not limited to) planning the campaign with Business Development (BD), editing, and uploading the podcast.
  • Use the Monday.com board (workflow tool) independently, and in conjunction with the design team, to achieve more effective project and stakeholder management.
  • Ensure key brand messages are clearly articulated – acting as a brand guardian/champion.
  • Liaise with external suppliers for design job support, subject to agreed budget spend.



What technical skills are required for someone to be successful and enjoy the role


  • Advanced experience of video and audio editing (Premiere Pro/After Effects, Photoshop and Lightroom – essential.
  • Experience using InDesign and Adobe Illustrator.
  • Experience in producing podcasts.
  • Experience taking photographs and post processing.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft office including PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
  • Good understanding of design principles and fundamentals (educated in Design).
  • Experience in interpreting briefs.
  • Experience in branding and its development, maintenance, and application.
  • Demonstrable experience of having worked in a similar role.
