Senior Quantity Surveyor | Watford, Hertfordshire | Primarily office-based | Normal hours are 8:30am – 5.00pm with a 1-hour break | £65,000 – £75,000

Are You the Right Fit?
If you're equipped with the following qualifications, the answer is a resounding yes!
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
RICS chartered status or equivalent professional qualification would be advantageous
Actively seeking chartered status would be beneficial
Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in quantity surveying (PQS or Contractor) in the UK
Sound knowledge of construction contracts, especially JCT, cost management, and procurement
Experience of contract administration would be an advantage
Experience in take-offs and measurement using industry recognised software
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Proficiency in relevant software tools (Excel, CAD measurement software) with a willingness to learn new skills
Eligible to work in the UK and able commute to Watford
Full UK Driving licence is essential
What Lies Ahead?
You will have the opportunity to be involved in:
Efficiently managing project budgets, ensuring cost efficiency throughout the project lifecycle
Administering tender processes, and construction contracts, evaluating variations, and negotiating settlements through the entire project lifecycle
Lead procurement activities, including tendering and contractor/subcontractor selection
Carry out early-stage cost plans and estimates or manage the delivery of detailed cost plans and bills as required by our clients
Maintain strong client relationships and provide regular project updates
Chairing project meeting and reporting to key stake holders
Collaborate with Langley’s team, clients, developers, architects, engineers, contractors and sub-contractors to achieve project goals
Opportunity to learn and become involved with dispute resolution or to build on your current experience
