Purchasing Analyst. Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire. Salary: Competitive. Package Details: 28 days holiday, Pension Contributions. Working Hours: Monday – Friday (40 hours per week / early Friday finish). The Purchasing Analyst role involves optimising procurement processes by analysing purchasing data, supplier performance, and market trends. The role has a keen focus on improving cost efficiency, ensuring supplier reliability, and supporting strategic decision-making within the Supply Chain Function. Role Description. * Analysing and optimising procurement activities. * Gathering and interpreting purchasing data, assessing Supplier performance, and supporting the development of cost-effective procurement strategies. * Annual purchasing cost savings and ensuring purchase order accuracy. * Supplier performance/supplier lead time improvement in line with business needs. * Supplier relationship development and risk management. * Purchasing process and vendor payment optimisation. * Ensuring all purchasing activities comply with company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards. * Continuously improve processes, tools, and systems to enhance purchasing efficiency. * Avoid/reduce stock outages. * Working closely within a cross-functional team, including procurement, finance and operations. Skills and Qualifications. * Experience within a manufacturing business. * CIPS qualification. * Professional purchasing experience with an ability to help develop purchasing processes. * Ability to build rapport and relationships with a variety of stakeholders and decision makers. * Strong communication skills and organisational ability.
