Team Manager -GIS

Team Manager Role The objective of this role is to work within RMSI’s contract with Scottish Power Energy Networks, managing operations across the Data Improvement and GIS teams. The team manager ensures that projects undertaken as part of the defined SPEN framework are conducted within agreed standards, processes, and principles to enable timely delivery. They will work with the programme manager to establish, agree and deliver to the project priorities, scope, and deliverables. Location: Glasgow – Work from home flexibility is offered. The successful candidate will be required to be based in Glasgow. Duties Supports the Programme manager in ensuring all client specifications and quality requirements are met within given timeframes on a project specific basis. Interfaces between the Programme Manager and RMSI project leads. Supports project governance and works in line with agreed project process flows to allow timely authorization of project stage gates for planned work packages. Assists in the management of SLAs and KPIs across all teams. Leads on encouraging a culture of continual improvement to enhance project efficiencies and deliver value to contract. Enhances project team capability through training and development. Communicates company and departmental policies and procedures to the team. Maintains morale and teamwork, motivating assigned staff to carry out duties. Maintains key cross business working relationship with project stakeholders through meeting attendance and forums. Musts Have extensive leadership skills, having previously worked in a team management role before Possess strong presentation and communication skills having stakeholder relationship experience Be proficient in the MS office suite Demonstrate an understanding of data analytics methodologies and tools and be able to make decisions based on data analysis Be comfortable with collaborating with cross functional teams Have an ability to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations and have experience in implementing quality improvement methodologies Organization, time management, problem solving and attention to detail will come naturally to the right candidate Desirables Have previous experience working in the energy sector Experienced using GIS software, Power BI and asset management platforms such as SAP
