The Financial Accountant will play a key support role in supporting the Financial Accounting Manager, achieving all deliverables in a timely and efficient way. We're looking for creative problem-solvers like you, someone who can ensure Canon stays ahead in an ever-changing world. What we askEnsuring proper accounting in compliance with legal and internal guidelines to ensure correct monthly, quarterly and annual submissions in accordance with US GAAP and local accounting requirementsWill be responsible for providing insight, analysis, and commentary on balance sheet performance, aiming to influence and drive decisions that improve the balance sheet position.Responsible for the timely preparation of month end JDE accounts for UK and subsidiaries.Build a strong understanding of finance systems especially JDE and international accounting standardsHelp financial accountant with inventory reconciliation and clean upLiaise directly with auditors to respond to audit queries in a timely and accurate manner.Preparation of the USGaap balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules. Provide commentary on variances verses prior year, investigate discrepancies and rectify in timely mannerContinuous Improvement, actively reviewing internal processes with a view to continually improving them, identifying areas for optimisationSupporting the accounting manager with monthly and adhoc tasks as required You will needContract up to July 2025  Salary:Up to 40-45k depending on experience Office: Stockley Park #LI-SH1 Further informationPart Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA) or studying towards accounting qualificationAdvanced Excel skills, macro knowledge will be advantageousExperience using different IT systemsCommunicate EffectivelyPlanning & OrganisationAttention to detailContracted hours are 37.5 hours over 5 days. This role is primarily office based, with the ability to work from home two-day per week. Job sharing can also be considered.
