Business Development Director - Central Government Role Summary: We are looking for a seasoned and proactive Business Development Director to join our growing team. This full-time role offers a flexible hybrid or remote working arrangement. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in working with the UK Central Government and a proven background in technology consulting services. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement strategic business development initiatives to drive growth and surpass sales goals. Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities within the UK Central Government and broader public sector. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, stakeholders, and clients. Work closely with internal teams to develop customized solutions that align with client needs and expectations. Prepare and present compelling proposals, pitches, and presentations to win new contracts and partnerships. Track market trends, policy changes, and competitor activity to identify opportunities for business expansion. Lead negotiations and close deals to ensure successful contract awards and revenue growth. Provide regular updates on business development activities, performance, and pipeline to senior leadership. Required Qualifications: 10-12 years of experience in business development, focusing on the public sector or UK Central Government. Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and driving business growth. Strong knowledge of the technology consulting services sector. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Proven ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with government and public sector clients. Strategic thinker with the capability to create and execute effective business development plans. Self-driven, results-oriented, with a high level of accountability. Able to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid/remote environment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a consulting firm. Extensive network within the public sector and UK Central Government. In-depth understanding of emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities within the public sector. What's on offer? £80-100k Base + Fantastic commission structure
