Slitter Assistant Location: Bollington, Cheshire Double Day Shifts: 6am-2pm/2pm-10pm Salary: £24,916 rising to £30,000 after a successful 3-month Probation Overtime Rate: 1.5x on Saturdays and 2x on Sundays Holidays: 5.5 weeks of Holidays Are you ready to take the next step in your career in manufacturing? Join our dynamic team at a leading paper conversion company in Bollington as a Slitter Assistant, where you’ll support the slitting and rewinding process that turns raw materials into precise, finished products. Key Responsibilities: Slitting Operations: Assist in operating the slitting machinery, cutting wide rolls of material (such as paper, film, or foil) into narrower rolls using rotary or razor blades. Rewinding: Help ensure that the newly slit materials are rewound onto smaller rolls for packaging, further processing, or shipping. Material Handling: Support the slitting process for various materials including paper, film, foil, plastics, etc. Quality Control: Assist in checking the quality of finished rolls, ensuring accuracy and product consistency. About You: Experience operating machinery within a manufacturing environment Willing to learn machine operations and safety protocols. Able to work efficiently on a double-day shift pattern.
