Groundworks General Foreman

My client is a multi-disciplined civil engineering contractor based in the East Midlands and with a growing order book are actively recruiting for a Groundworks General Foreman in Nottingham. Working on new build housing developments, candidates will be responsible for overseeing groundworks packages (drainage, earthworks, foundations, roads/sewers, landscaping and externals), health & safety, managing direct/subcontract labour and quality checks. Additional duties include: * Reporting into the Contracts Manager on planning/programmes and site progress. * Ordering materials and plant. * Conducting daily briefings, safety inspections, toolbox talks and site inductions. * Ensuring health & safety proceedures and policies are adhered to. * Liaising with client's representatives. * Attending client and subcontractor meetings. * Coordinating direct and subcontractor workforce on site. Successful candidates will possess: * Valid CSCS Card, SSSTS/SMSTS and First Aid at Work accreditation. * HNC/HND or equivalent in a construcion-related discipline (desirable). * Minimum of 4 years residential groundworks experience in a similar role (essential). * NRSWA Supervisor, Confined Space and CAT & Genny trained (desirable). * Full UK driving licence to allow travel to sites across the region. * IT proficienct with MS Office (Excel, Outlook and Word). * Excellent communication skills.
