The role

The Account Executive provides effective administration support to clients and the account team. As a self-starter, great communicator and a team player, you will be involved in supporting the team across content campaigns, lead generation (acquisition) and email marketing, including digital and offline channels. Working across clients’ accounts you will support the account team with; project delivery, tracking client budgets, campaign results and invoicing. All this, whilst providing an impeccable service to the client day-to-day.

Key Accountabilities

  • Update and circulate weekly client status reports
  • Writing contact reports and meeting minutes after client or internal meetings
  • Writing creative and technical briefs for the account team and external resource
  • Briefing technical and creative suppliers resource with the Account Manager
  • Writing, managing and maintaining cost estimates and schedules
  • Managing projects and ensuring project deadlines are met
  • Monitoring and tracking campaign results and updating client results forecasts
  • Managing campaign or project costs and invoicing clients
  • Implement campaign activity such as social media, pay-per-click campaigns or search engine optimisation
  • Copywriting (limited)
  • Maintain regular contact to link the client, account team and the agency
  • Meeting and liaising with clients, to support the Account Manager
  • Research clients' products, services, plans, competitors and target markets
  • Develop industry knowledge, awareness of competition and Modern’s role within the marketplace
  • The post holder will be expected to maintain and develop their professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops and events.

  • Strong communication skills including excellent spelling and grammar
  • Be able to effectively deal with the client services team with regard to the project management and status of projects.
  • Be able to comprehend campaign metrics and create reports on digital marketing activity.
  • Be able to efficiently maintain accurate / accessible and organised documentation within relevant timeframes.
  • Be able to switch between different types of project work.
  • Be able to prioritise your own workflow based on set deadlines and project deliverables, as agreed with the Client Services team.
  • Be able to accurately proofread and check work to ensure and maintain high standards of output.
