IT Security Engineer required by a leading manufacturing company based in Camberley, Surrey.
The company is expanding and seeking an IT Security Engineer to develop and manage their cybersecurity strategy. The IT Security Engineer will join a small team working alongside Software Developers, an IT Support Engineer and an IT Systems Administrator.
The IT Security Engineer will manage the security infrastructure and will be the main liaison with the external SOC.
This role would suit someone who has worked in IT / infrastructure support and transitioned towards more of an IT security focused role.
Essential experience:
- Commercial experience in IT / infrastructure. Ideally exposure to both Windows and Linux environments
- Networking and security knowledge across firewalls, VPNs, Microsoft Suite e.g. Defender, InTune etc
- Security vulnerability assessments
Experience in any of the following would be advantageous:
- SQL
- Understanding of ISO27001
- Cyber Essentials / Cyber Essentials Plus
The company operate on a hybrid model involving 2 days a week in the office.
