Permanent (Senior) System Safety Engineer Bristol Remote + Flexible working Permanent Full Time / Competitive Salary + Benefits Infinity Systems Engineering LTD are recruiting for an experienced (Senior) System Safety Engineer to work on a Permanent basis. The System Safety Engineer should haveat least 10 years of experience in the Maritime, Nuclear or Defence sectors and be comfortable in a customer-facing role. As a System Safety Engineer, you will be carrying out a wide range of Safety Engineering activities across a variety of projects. WhyISE? We offer Hybrid/Remote with Flexible working patterns and believe work-life balance is key to success. Travel to client sites may be required depending on the contract. Essential skills: Experience in the production and maintenance of Safety Reports and Plans: e.g. Safety Case Reports and Safety Management Plans . Experience in carrying out Hazard Identification and Hazard Analysis . Experience in carrying out Fault Tree Analysis (e.g. Isograph Reliability Workbench). Experience working with IEC 61508. Good understanding of Systems Engineering principles. Hazard Log Management. Experience working on complex systems (e.g. Aerospace, Defence, Nuclear). Ability to work effectively across multiple projects. Desirable skills: Requirements management. Experience with Failure Modes, Effects (and Criticality) Analysis. Knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering. Familiarity with ARP4754A, or DO178C/DO254 and ARP4761 Understanding of safety assurance of software and/or complex hardware. Understanding / experience working with DEF STAN 07-85. Experience working with DE&S and following the ASEMS process. Electronics Engineering experience. Qualifications: Ideally be degree qualified in an Engineering discipline. Candidates will ideally be a Chartered Engineer (CEng) or have equivalent experience. Candidates MUST beeligiblefor UK Security Clearance.
