Senior Electrical Design Engineer - MEICA Specialist

A Senior Electrical Design Engineer specialising in EICA is being sought by a national multi-disciplinary design consultancy with the stated mission of improving infrastructure and environment for the benefit of all. As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you will: - Lead EICA (Electrical, Instrumentation, Control, and Automation) design projects from conception to implementation - Develop innovative, low-carbon solutions for flood risk management and environmental projects - Mentor junior staff and contribute to the growth of the MEICA team - Work on diverse projects for clients including the Environment Agency, local authorities, and major infrastructure companies About you: - Chartered or Incorporated member of the IET - Degree in Electrical Engineering - Extensive experience in industrial electrical installations, including lighting, power distribution, and control systems - Proficiency in design software such as Amtech/Trimble ProDesign, Dialight, and Revit - In-depth knowledge of BS7671:2018 and current regulatory standards - Experience with Safety in Design and CDM regulations - Familiarity with pumping stations and water-related infrastructure - Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel (overnight stays are a rarity) The rewards: - Employee ownership opportunities - 25 days leave plus stats - Enhanced pension - Flexible benefits package - Flexible working arrangements (including hybrid) - Structured training and development plans - Opportunity to work on projects that make a real difference Location: Their Leeds office is a couple of minutes walk from both Leeds city centre and the train station.
