Experience, wherever you have gained it, with SEND is very desirable but the school are open to inexperienced candidates looking to learn quickly within the role. They can show inappropriate responses to their emotions. They can feel scared, anxious and misunderstood. Teaching assistants will need patience, understanding and confidence with any behaviour that may be challenging. Being a teaching assistant helps those who need it most, whatever the needs of the children are.
