Planner - Renewable EnergyHybrid - 2 days minimum in BristolBasic up to £65,000 + great benefitsMDE is looking for a planner to lead and coordinate the planning aspects of large-scale solar and energy storage projects.The Role:As the Planning Development Manager, you will be the driving force behind the planning process for our grid-connected solar and energy storage projects. You’ll collaborate with both in-house and external teams, guiding projects from early stages through to “ready-to-build” (RTB) status.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage all planning aspects of solar and energy storage projects.Coordinate with external consultants and manage community engagement.Act as the main contact, liaising with property, planning, grid, technical, legal, and commercial teams.Ensure projects are on track with clearly defined timelines and milestones.Monitor project budgets and report on progress, risks, and mitigation.The ideal candidate:Holds a degree in a planning-related discipline, with eligibility for membership of an accredited professional institute (MRTPI or equivalent).Strong ability to liaise with internal and external teams, securing necessary approvals for RTB projects.Proven experience in identifying obstacles and influencing key decisions to keep projects on schedule.Effective resource management skills to deliver key project outcomes.Possesses a full UK driving licence and is willing to travel frequently for site visits and meetings.Apply Now!
