Legal Counsel - Retail / FMCG

A leading multinational retailer / FMCG is seeking a highly skilled legal counsel to support their global sourcing operations and exclusive product ranges, which contribute significantly to the company’s multi-billion-dollar revenue.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic, commercially-oriented legal advice on contracts, compliance, due diligence, and risk management.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex global supply agreements for innovative product sourcing, procurement, and franchising arrangements.
• Ensure compliance with international regulatory standards, particularly in areas such as sustainability claims and consumer safety.
• Manage high-value disputes and oversee litigation processes, collaborating with external counsel as required.
• Champion legal frameworks and policies to support commercial objectives while managing risk.
• Build strong relationships across the company’s legal network to ensure consistent, high-quality legal support.

About You:

• Qualified lawyer with expertise in commercial, and corporate law.
• Experience in handling high-value commercial contracts, disputes, and compliance matters.
• Previous in-house experience in a multinational company or retail sector is highly advantageous.
• Proven ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, cross-border environment, demonstrating sound judgment under pressure.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills, with a pragmatic, business-focused approach.
