As a Manufacturing/Production Manager you will be involved in supporting the productions areas, especially gas seal assembly and test, increasing (OEE), quality RFT% and reducing costs through process/layout improvements. Implementation of key projects aligned to business plan and the introduction/implementation of new advanced manufacturing technology. You will also be ensuring the smooth operation of manufacturing processes and supporting daily production activities. The role involves providing critical support to Operations on process controls, addressing machine issues, and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.This role is based from our headquarters within Slough working Monday to Friday normal office hours.John Crane is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to crafting an inclusive environment for all employees.Duties & Responsibilities (not limited to)Increasing the OEE KPI’s for productions areas within the Slough plantCreation and updating of standards and process instructions (Visual Factory, internal WIG documents)Implement cost reduction initiatives through value VA/VE projectsManage key projects from conception through to completion. Ensure key milestones are hit and project delivers objectives on time and within costSupport the production areas with CI initiatives and Kaizen generation“Hands On” support for production functions.Support the NPD team with PFMEA's, risk assessments and control plans.Prepare cost estimates to formulate schedules and coordinate and monitor assigned Production/CapEx projectsSupport and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders within JC Slough Operations and external suppliers as appropriate to provide technical support/assistanceThe IndividualPrevious experience in gas seal assembly and testing is preferredExperience in using Continuous Improvement tools and techniques would also be desiredValue Analysis and Value Engineering (VA/VE) experienceAdvanced MS Office skillsProficiency in CADFamiliarity with operational / shop floor best practices and performance standardsDecision making ability and good influencing / team working skillsTime management and organisational skillsSelf-driven with good attention to detailDiversity ClauseWe believe that different perspectives and backgrounds are what make a company flourish.
