Software TesterUK Wide Remote/LondonWho we are:We are exciting scale-up Insurance technology company (Insurtech) that builds bespoke platforms for our clients heavily utilizing new technologies and hosted on AWS.The Role:Automated and manual testing of mobile and web platform components. The current focus is on manual testing, with automated testing to follow in a future phase.Create and maintain (end-to-end) test cases and corresponding processes to ensure optimal test coverage and efficiency.The work environment is within the existing Test Team and alongside a Software Engineer Team (mobile, Back- and Front End), a Platform Engineer Team, UI/UX designer, Config Specialists and Product Owners.Key responsibilities include:Create test scripts to validate new functionality being added to the platformsOptimise and refine existing test casesEnsure that all existing and new test cases are ATF (Automated Test Framework) compliantIntegration testing, Static testing, Regression testing, Security Testing, Smoke Testing, Acceptance testing, Accessibility testing, User Interface Testing and Business Acceptance TestingNative Android, iOS and web testingRunning test scripts, recording evidence, documenting and reporting issues foundIdentifying defect root causes (stack traces, code, log files and other artefacts)Work with the Developers and Config Specialists to help recreate issues and act as a point of contactProvide time estimates on required testing activitiesAutomate the existing manual end to end test scripts using Java, IntelliJ, Maven for web-based applicationAutomate the existing manual end to end test scripts using Typescript, VS Code, Browserstack for mobile applicationTechnical experience we are looking for:A sound understanding of and experience on a Junior+ level (~2 years) of working withTest principles and best practiceREST APITest automationAGILE development practices and their applicationUnderstanding of BDDBrowserStackPostmanTestRailJIRA/ConfluenceSecure software delivery pipeline principles (Azure DevOps / BrowserStack)Automation Test Framework experience using SeleniumBitbucketGit and Git bash affinityJava programming affinity/experience compatible with the Junior+ level function - ideally with IntelliJ or EclipseOn the technical experience we aren’t looking for someone with all of the above, if you think the role aligns well to your experience, please still apply!Benefits – where do I start!Base Salary £28,000 - £34,000 depending on experienceDiscretionary Bonus (10%)Share Options schemeUK wide remote working with London hub.25 annual holidays + Bank holidaysPensionQuarterly meet ups!Please apply directly to this advert – you can also contact me for more information on LinkedIn “Marcus Tembe” & email your CV to [email protected] to further discuss the role.
