Job Title: Part-Time Food Technology Teacher Location: Blackburn, Lancashire Contract: Part-Time, 3 days per week Start Date: October 24 The Role: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Part-Time Food Technology Teacher to join our client. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and practical Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is enthusiastic about food education, enjoys working with young people, and is committed to developing their skills in food preparation, nutrition, and healthy eating. Key Responsibilities: Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Food Technology lessons in line with the national curriculum. Teach students practical cooking and food preparation skills, as well as theoretical knowledge of nutrition and food safety. Inspire creativity and independent thinking through engaging lesson plans. Ensure a safe and well-organised classroom, adhering to health and safety guidelines. Assess and track pupil progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development. Contribute to the wider work of the Design and Technology Department and assist with extracurricular activities where necessary. Essential Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience teaching Food Technology at secondary school level (Key Stages 3 and 4). Strong understanding of food preparation, nutrition, and health and safety regulations. Excellent classroom management and organisational skills. Ability to engage and motivate pupils of all abilities. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Desirable: Experience teaching GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition. Familiarity with current exam board specifications for Food Technology.
