Job Opportunity: Freelance Site Engineer Location: Wick, North of Scotland Start Date: Mid October Company Overview: Our client, a leading civil engineering contractor, is experiencing sustained growth and is looking to expand their team with a Freelance Site Engineer based in Wick, North of Scotland. This role is critical to ensuring the project is well-managed and delivered on time. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in delivering civil engineering projects, particularly in substations, renewables, wind farms, and roads. Due to the remote location of this role, a living away allowance and accommodation will be provided. Key Responsibilities: Setting out and surveying. Conducting quality checks on as-built drawings. Communicating and interpreting drawings to site staff. Ensuring safety targets and standards are consistently maintained. Administering and keeping accurate records of Quality Assurance systems on site. Liaising with designers and management teams. Attending and contributing to progress meetings. What’s on Offer: Start Date: Mid October. Ongoing long-term work. Site Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00am – 19:00pm. Accommodation and travel provided. Competitive rates of pay. Payment methods: PAYE. Requirements: Demonstrated experience in working on civil engineering projects. Proficiency in using Trimble, Trimble GPS, dumpy level, and laser level equipment. Full UK driving licence.
