Role: Head of Maintenance Location: West Midlands Sector: Food Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 Owen Daniels Recruitment has engaged with a key client and an established Manufacturing company providing a wide range of services to the Food industry, and high-profile clients. Due to team & project growth an opportunity has arisen for a Head of Maintenance to join on a permanent basis. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage a multidisciplinary maintenance team, covering electrical, mechanical, and PLC systems. Ensure efficient maintenance of all plant machinery to reduce downtime and improve performance. Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs across electrical, mechanical, and PLC systems. Oversee and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and PLC-related issues. Manage capital projects, including new equipment installations and system upgrades. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food safety regulations. Manage the maintenance budget, including spare parts inventory and labour costs. Collaborate with production teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.   Key Skills & Qualifications: 7+ years of maintenance management experience in food manufacturing or FMCG. Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and PLC systems. Experience with maintenance management systems (CMMS). Proven leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills. Familiarity with food safety and regulatory standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP).   Benefits: 20 days holiday + 8 BH. Pension Scheme. Professional Development Opportunities.
