Project Manager

Location: Craigavon, Northern Ireland Contract Type: 18 month contract (potential to extend) Work Arrangement: Primarily Onsite Company Overview: We are a leading aerospace manufacturing company specialising in the production of high-quality aero structures, including components such as aero-engine casings, nacelle beams, engine mounts, prismatic parts, motion control products, and control mechanisms. Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in manufacturing engineering to join our team on a 6-month rolling contract. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in an aero structures environment, with a focus on metallic and components such as nacelles, engine mounts, and other key aerospace products. Due to the nature of the role, it will be predominantly onsite, requiring extensive stakeholder interaction and close collaboration with our engineering, production, and quality teams. Key Responsibilities: Project Management: Lead and manage multiple projects within the aerospace manufacturing sector, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget. Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain close communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including engineering teams, suppliers, and customers. Manufacturing Engineering Oversight: Provide technical leadership in manufacturing engineering processes, ensuring that all production meets the required standards for quality, efficiency, and compliance. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure the successful delivery of projects. Reporting: Provide regular updates on project status, including progress reports, risk assessments, and financial tracking. Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the project teams to enhance efficiency, quality, and overall project performance. Key Requirements: Experience: Proven experience as a Project Manager with a strong background in manufacturing engineering, ideally within the aerospace sector focusing on aero structures and metallics. Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of aerospace products, including nacelles, engine mounts, aero-engine casings, and prismatic parts, with a strong foundation in manufacturing engineering principles. Project Management Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, with a track record of delivering on time and within budget. Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience managing relationships with diverse stakeholders. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges. Location: Must be based in or willing to stay away/relocate to Craigavon, Northern Ireland, and available for onsite work due to the nature of the role.
