With over 55 years of engineering excellence, we pride ourselves on providing reliable, high-quality vehicles to meet the demanding needs of winter road maintenance across the UK.We are seeking a skilled and experienced Vehicle Electrician to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on our bespoke winter maintenance vehicles, where you will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of auto electrical installations, modifications, and fault-finding.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, maintain, and repair electrical systems in both vehicle chassis and bodies.Run wiring looms, install and configure vehicle lighting systems, and perform terminations for control looms and associated equipment.Diagnose and resolve electrical issues, ensuring all systems are fully operational.Interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings to complete accurate installations.Ensure all electrical work is completed in compliance with company standards and relevant health and safety regulations.Qualifications & ExperienceProven experience as a vehicle electrician, ideally within the commercial vehicle sector.Strong knowledge and practical experience with 12V and 24V systems.Ability to work on complex wiring systems, including experience with vehicle body lighting and control systems.Competence in diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical faults.Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.Desirable SkillsPrevious experience working on winter maintenance vehicles or other specialist commercial vehicles.Knowledge of CAN bus systems and advanced vehicle diagnostics.A good understanding of modern vehicle electrical systems and technologies.BenefitsCompetitive salary based on experience.Opportunities for career progression within a leading engineering company.Ongoing training and development opportunities.Pension scheme.20 days annual leave plus bank holidays for the first 2 years, increasing to 25 days holiday.If you are a skilled vehicle electrician with a passion for excellence and innovation, we would love to hear from you.? Join Econ Engineering and keep Britain’s roads moving.
