Marketing Manager – Events

Uxbridge/Hybrid (4 days per week in the office)

Up to £45k + Bonuses


Our client is a dynamic and innovative media, insights, and events company specialising in partnering with major clients in the ICT and Telecoms sectors.


Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and driven Marketing Manager to join our client's team and lead their marketing efforts. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a marketing professional to make a significant impact, taking ownership of campaigns to promote a market-leading event portfolio. The successful candidate will work closely with the commercial, operations, and digital teams in a role that offers autonomy and variety in a fast-paced, growing media and events environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Event Marketing: Responsible for marketing approximately 12 events annually, including a mix of awards and small, invitation-only conferences. Manage marketing efforts for 2-3 events simultaneously.
  • Objective-Driven Marketing: Develop and implement strategies aimed at increasing award entries, boosting attendance at conferences, and maximising brand promotion.
  • Support Sales: Provide marketing support to the sales team by creating compelling collateral and supplying relevant market information.
  • Partnership Development: Secure partnerships with relevant media and PR partners to enhance event promotion.
  • Channels: Focus on email marketing and social media as the main routes to market, optimising these channels for maximum engagement and conversion.


Additional Responsibilities

  • Content Creation: Produce engaging content for social media, blogs, emails, and websites.
  • Social Media Management: Manage and grow the company’s social media presence, analysing performance metrics to refine strategies.
  • SEO and SEM: Optimise website content for search engines and manage paid advertising campaigns.
  • Analytics: Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns using tools like Google Analytics and marketing automation software.
  • Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends and the competitive landscape to identify opportunities for growth.


Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in B2B event marketing is essential.
  • Experience in the technology sector is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Strong copywriting and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in SEO and SEM best practices.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Creative Suite (desirable).
