A dynamic and innovative construction firm specializing in the design, construction, and maintenance of Data Centres and critical infrastructure projects is seeking a Mechanical Construction Manager to join onto a superscale data centre project worth over £40mil M&E, located in Long cross. The project completion date is set for September 2025, and owing to the company's expansion and successes, there will be ongoing work in the Surrey area until 2029.


As a Mechanical Construction Manager, you will take charge of Mechanical aspects of the prestigious Data Centre project. Your strong leadership, technical expertise, and exceptional organizational skills will be key in ensuring the successful delivery of the project. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, managing the Mechanical installations, coordinating subcontractors, and maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Mechanical construction activities of the Data Centre project from start to finish.
  • Coordinate and oversee subcontractors, ensuring they adhere to project schedules and quality standards.
  • Review and interpret Mechanical drawings, specifications, and technical documents to ensure compliance and resolve any conflicts or issues.
  • Manage the installation, testing, and commissioning of Mechanical systems, ensuring they meet project requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor and control project progress, budgets, and resources, proactively identifying and mitigating risks or delays.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to safety protocols, quality control, and compliance with project specifications.
  • Maintain effective communication and foster positive relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
