As we continue to prioritise our student's well-being and academic growth, we seek a passionate and dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to join our team.Key Responsibilities:Provide tailored support to primary school students with SEMH, individually and in small groups, to ensure they can access the curriculum and achieve their learning goals.Collaborate closely with primary school teachers to implement differentiated instruction and adapt teaching materials to meet the diverse needs of students with SEMH.Support students in developing key literacy, numeracy, and social skills, fostering their confidence and independence in the classroom.Work alongside the SENCO and other staff members to develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) and support strategies for students with SEMH.Foster positive relationships with students, promoting their emotional well-being, self-esteem, and sense of belonging within the school community.Monitor student progress and behaviour, providing feedback to teachers and participating in the evaluation and review of support interventions.Create a safe and inclusive learning environment, proactively managing challenging behaviours and promoting positive behaviour management strategies.If you are passionate about supporting primary school students with SEMH and helping them succeed, we would love to hear from you!Qualifications and Experience:Previous experience working with primary school students with SEMH, preferably in an educational setting. (desirable)A genuine passion for supporting the learning and development of young children with diverse needs.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.Patience, empathy, and resilience, with a compassionate and nurturing approach to supporting primary school students with SEMH.Knowledge of SEMH-related issues and strategies for supporting primary school students with a range of needs (e.g., autism, dyslexia, speech and language difficulties).Important Notice: For you to be successful in applying for the above position you should be eligible to work in the UK or hold a relevant work visa.
