Senior Project Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Project Engineer with extensive experience in the telecommunications or cable industry to join our team, overseeing major projects in the Liverpool area. This senior role requires strong technical expertise and leadership skills to ensure successful project delivery in a fast-paced and complex environment.Key Responsibilities:Lead the preparation of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS), or review and approve subcontractor documentationOrganize and oversee lift plans for high-risk operations or assess subcontractor lift plansConduct thorough daily risk assessments and issue permits for high-risk activities (e.g., cable installation, working at height)Implement and monitor compliance with safety and quality standards, ensuring all operations meet industry regulationsSupervise all operations, inspections, and testing according to the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP)Liaise with clients for inspection witness points and manage all necessary documentationHandle non-conformance reports, taking corrective action and maintaining a list of outstanding issuesDocument site conditions before project commencement and ensure final reinstatement meets or exceeds standardsOversee and attend trial hole operations, reviewing reports and ensuring complianceMaintain a detailed daily site diary, including progress updates and photographic recordsQualifications & Requirements:Extensive experience in the telecommunications or cable industry, ideally within a senior project engineering roleManage complex projects from inception to completionStrong communication and client relationship management skillsIdeally educated to HND or degree level in a relevant engineering discipline (preferred but not essential)Ability to work independently and make strategic decisionsA valid driving license is requiredWhat We Offer:25 days holiday plus statutory holidaysDefined Contribution pension scheme with generous life assuranceFlexible working options, including remote work (role dependent)Annual enrollment in a share schemeHealth Care Cash Plan covering optical, dental, and chiropody fees24/7 confidential employee counselling serviceAccess to online language learning programsEnhanced maternity and paternity leave benefitsGenerous sick pay arrangementsCycle to work scheme
