Job Title: Care Home Manager Location: Birkenhead, UK, Medium-Sized Nursing Home Salary: Up to £65,000 per annum Hours: 40 hours per week Type: Full-time, Permanent About the Client My client is a respected care provider in the North West, renowned for delivering high-quality care to elderly residents, especially those with dementia. The nursing home, situated in the Wirral , is purpose-built and designed to offer a warm, safe, and nurturing environment. The home has an excellent local reputation for its high care standards and its strong relationships with families and the community. The Opportunity I am looking for an experienced Care Home Manager on behalf of my client to manage a medium-sized nursing home in Wirral. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic leader with a proven track record in dementia and nursing care. The ideal candidate will oversee day-to-day operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead a dedicated team to maintain and enhance the quality of care provided to residents. Key Responsibilities Leadership and Management : Lead and manage a team of skilled healthcare professionals, ensuring high-quality, person-centered care. Foster a supportive, positive working environment to encourage staff motivation, professional growth, and high morale. Ensure effective communication between staff, residents, and their families, building a cohesive and collaborative environment. Care Quality and Compliance : Ensure the home consistently meets CQC standards and other regulatory requirements. Regularly review care plans to ensure they meet the evolving needs of residents. Conduct audits and implement quality improvement initiatives to maintain the highest standards of care. Operational Management : Oversee the daily operations of the home, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery. Manage the homes budget, ensuring effective resource management, staffing, and maintenance. Ensure the home is maintained to a high standard, providing a safe and welcoming environment for residents and visitors. Resident and Family Engagement : Build and maintain strong relationships with residents and their families, ensuring their concerns and needs are addressed promptly and empathetically. Oversee activities and programs that enhance the quality of life for residents. Business Development : Promote the home within the local community and build positive relationships with external stakeholders. Ensure high occupancy levels through effective marketing and relationship management. Qualifications and Experience : Proven experience as a Care Home Manager or in a similar leadership role within the care sector. Strong expertise in dementia care , nursing, and residential care. Registered Manager's Award (RMA) or NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care Management (or equivalent). Strong understanding of CQC regulations and standards. Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills. Financial acumen with experience managing budgets.
