Mechanical Project Manager Location: London Salary: Up to £75,000 (All-inclusive) Hours: 40 hours per week Our client, a leading M& E contractor, is seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to oversee the mechanical elements of their commercial projects. Specialising in office fit-outs, laboratory installations, and plant replacements, they deliver high-quality projects across London, with typical values ranging from £1m to £3m. As a Mechanical Project Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the site, ensuring the smooth running of mechanical works, health & safety compliance, and effective coordination of subcontractors and labour teams. Your primary focus will be delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You’ll be the face of the business on-site, so strong communication skills and the ability to build lasting relationships with clients is crucial. Key Responsibilities: * Oversee all aspects of the mechanical installation on-site. * Ensure compliance with health & safety standards. * Manage and coordinate subcontractors and site labour. * Maintain clear and consistent communication with the client. * Monitor project progress, budgets, and timelines to ensure successful delivery. * Problem-solve and proactively manage any issues that arise on-site. What We’re Looking For: * A strong mechanical background, ideally with experience in pipefitting. * Excellent communication and client-facing skills. * Proven experience in managing commercial projects, ideally within office fit-outs, labs, or plant replacements. * Ability to take ownership of projects and drive them to completion. * Strong understanding of health & safety regulations and on-site management. * A proactive attitude and the ability to adapt in fast-paced environments.
