Are you a highly motivated engineer with a passion for structural simulation and a solid technical engineering background? Then we want to hear from you!

You will work closely with an established engineering team, focusing on linear and non-linear fatigue, and structural simulations for powertrains and vehicles in the automotive industry.

This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies in electrification and powertrain performance, contributing to both internal and customer projects.

Your responsibilities as a Structural Analysis Engineer:

  • Support system analysis projects across internal and customer opportunities, covering a range of battery and powertrain concepts.
  • Perform data processing and analysis, with regular reporting to internal and customer teams and management.
  • Contribute to the design and development of powertrain components by conducting structural simulations, impact analysis, and optimisation studies to enhance product performance.
  • Utilise FEA software perform complex finite element analysis for automotive components.
  • Conduct linear and non-linear, modal, and transient simulations at the powertrain and subsystem levels.
  • Present analysis results and recommendations to stakeholders, supporting decision-making and project advancement.


Your current experience which will help you as a Structural Analysis Engineer:

  • Degree in a relevant engineering field.
  • Experience in structural CAE simulations for electric powertrains and batteries, with a proven track record of model correlation and validation against test data.
  • Proficiency in Abaqus and expertise in the engineering analysis of mechanical structures and systems.
  • Solid understanding of fatigue, non-linear, and structural simulation principles.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to provide clear technical recommendations across multifunctional disciplines.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work with high-level instructions and minimal supervision.
