You will work closely with an established engineering team, focusing on linear and non-linear fatigue, and structural simulations for powertrains and vehicles in the automotive industry.
This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies in electrification and powertrain performance, contributing to both internal and customer projects.
Your responsibilities as a Structural Analysis Engineer:
- Support system analysis projects across internal and customer opportunities, covering a range of battery and powertrain concepts.
- Perform data processing and analysis, with regular reporting to internal and customer teams and management.
- Contribute to the design and development of powertrain components by conducting structural simulations, impact analysis, and optimisation studies to enhance product performance.
- Utilise FEA software perform complex finite element analysis for automotive components.
- Conduct linear and non-linear, modal, and transient simulations at the powertrain and subsystem levels.
- Present analysis results and recommendations to stakeholders, supporting decision-making and project advancement.
Your current experience which will help you as a Structural Analysis Engineer:
- Degree in a relevant engineering field.
- Experience in structural CAE simulations for electric powertrains and batteries, with a proven track record of model correlation and validation against test data.
- Proficiency in Abaqus and expertise in the engineering analysis of mechanical structures and systems.
- Solid understanding of fatigue, non-linear, and structural simulation principles.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to provide clear technical recommendations across multifunctional disciplines.
- Self-starter with the ability to work with high-level instructions and minimal supervision.
