Polishing Technician

About the role The role involves the polishing of III-V wafers as part of the production activity within a cleanroom environment, which will involve shift work on a 24-5 rotating shift pattern. Working within a team supporting the chemo-mechanical processing of wafers according to documented procedures on a platform of polishing machines.  Post polish, cleaning and characterisation, coupled with the recording of critical, detailed process control data is an essential part of the role, with an understanding of chemical handling. Adhering at all times to all internal safety, HR, environmental and quality guidelines & procedures. About you Happy working within a cleanroom environment wearing the appropriate cleanroom PPE, with good dexterity and attention to detail.  Working a rotating three shift (early, late and night shift with shift premium) system, with a small team of staff, with good communication skills to facilitate shift handovers and other production information.  Reliable, flexible, willing to learn, and competent and safe handling chemicals.
