Mid Level (5+ Years Exp, Java, GCP, gRPC) Developer The team you would be joining oversees the entire user journey and ensures engagement with people in innovative ways, every step of the way for the company. What You’ll Do - Collaborate with key internal partners to determine how to design scalable backend systems, data models, and APIs that run on Google Cloud Platform. - Architect, develop, and operate Java services that serve our users through our content platform, enabling marketing operators and other internal squads to work efficiently. - Be a technical leader, mentor, and valued contributor in an autonomous, cross-functional agile squad, in close collaboration with other squads. - Collaborate with other engineers and product managers to identify and solve challenging problems, successfully scaling our automation and platformisation work to enable a more user-focused conversion experience. Essential Skills 5+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer working with Java Experience with gRPC, GCP, BigQuery, and Bigtable is a plus Strong computer science fundamentals and experience building backend services at scale Experience in designing, implementing, and scaling cloud-native software components on providers such as GCP, AWS, etc. Experience working directly with stakeholders to understand, document, and develop APIs and systems to meet their requirements Comfortable working collaboratively on cross-functional teams and independently driving complex delivery initiatives Experience in writing distributed, high-volume services and know-how to deploy and keep them running in production Personal Attributes Growth mindset Passionate about work Striving towards team’s goals Location London, UK Trading as TEKsystems.
