Drivers Mate

Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Driver's Mate to join our team. In this role, you will assist the driver in the delivery of goods, ensuring that all items are loaded, secured, and delivered to customers efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will have experience in delivery driving or warehouse operations, possess strong communication skills, and be capable of heavy lifting.

The ideal candidate will live in or around Hammersmith

Responsibilities

* Assist the driver with loading and unloading goods from the vehicle.

* Ensure that all deliveries are made on time and in good condition.

* Communicate effectively with the driver and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.

* Help maintain cleanliness and organisation within the vehicle and at delivery sites.

* Perform basic checks on the vehicle before departure to ensure it is roadworthy.

* Support warehouse operations as needed, including picking and packing items for delivery.

Experience

* Previous experience as a delivery driver or van driver is advantageous.

* Familiarity with commercial driving regulations is preferred.

* Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently.

* Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and customers.

* Experience in a warehouse environment is a plus but not essential.
