Management Accountant

Axon Moore are exclusively partnering with a growing business in Preston, to recruit an ambitious nearly or newly qualified Management Accountant. This is a unique opportunity for a forward- thinking individual to join the business at an exciting time, with ownership of their own subsidiary. The business have seen significant growth in recent years, and have recently listed; therefore the successful candidate will be a personable, dynamic individual who wishes to grow and develop alongside and under the mentorship of a high-calibre Financial Controller. Our client is open to candidates who are nearly or newly qualified from either a practice or industry background. Responsibilities include: Production of monthly management accounts Monthly balance sheet reconciliations and complex work in progress Multi-site reporting and individual subsidiary performance Identify key variances to budget, re-forecast, and prior year Enhanced focus on improving internal reporting, building MI pack and focussing on potential areas of the business Preparation of year end statutory accounts Completion of VAT returns for group companies prior to submission to HMRC Posting of corrective journals to system and ensuring MI agrees to relevant system on a monthly basis Completion of regular re-forecasting and annual budget submission Understanding of the cash flow, working capital and the ability to identify key movements and improvement opportunities Development and utilisation of BI tool to drive business performance. Supporting with ad hoc project work and future acquisitions Our local Lancashire Axon Moore team recruit all accounting and finance roles from CFO to transactional finance on both a temporary and permanent basis.
