Situated in the picturesque West Yorkshire region, this company values an entrepreneurial spirit and agility, offering ample career development opportunities.About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Automation Engineer to join a dynamic team. This role is pivotal in the operation and maintenance of Automation Systems and the development, implementation, and maintenance of validation compliance for computerized systems.Key Responsibilities:Develop and review procedures relevant to the lifecycle of computerized systems, including test protocols and validation activities.Provide training for associates on Automation Systems.Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for assigned Automation Systems.Manage external contractors for capital and expense projects.Ensure ongoing maintenance of computerized systems and data management.Support continuous improvement projects to enhance system efficiencies and reliability.Identify new automation opportunities within the manufacturing process.Maintain GMP-relevant documentation, including engineering SOPs and design documentation.Oversee corrective and preventive maintenance of production equipment and troubleshoot automated processes or equipment errors.Manage external contractors for engineering support, ensuring optimal operation and reliability of plant automation systems.Coach team members on automation topics within your area of responsibility.Provide guidance and resolve automation system-related issues, including deviation investigations and trend analysis.Ideal Candidate:Proficient in Programming/ISA95 level 1-2-3 control system components (PLC-HMI – SCADA / ERP).In-depth knowledge of computer system validation (CSV) requirements as defined by the pharmaceutical industry.Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Automation, Electronics, Mechatronics).Experience with Facilities, Utilities, Equipment Qualification, or applicable experience in the pharmaceutical industry.Strong experience in Automation Systems, preferably within the Pharmaceutical/Life Sciences industry.Familiarity with cGMP and regulatory requirements.Industry 4.0 experience is a plus.Apply Now: If you are ready to make a difference in people’s health and join a company where you can grow your career, we want to hear from you.
