Key responsibilities
- Responsible for the E2E testing (Test planning, preparation and execution)
- Test management using Jira X-RAY
- Automate new scripts and the maintenance of the existing scripts. CICD integration.
- Daily / weekly testing progress reporting
- Working with the different internal teams and co-ordination with the 3rd parties
- Defect management (from raising a new defect to its closure)
- Manage and co-ordinate performance, security and accessibility testing as required.
Essential Skills:
- Solid experience in API testing, including an understanding of latency, throughput, and scalability in API performance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to design effective test cases and scenarios for APIs, and execute them to ensure comprehensive coverage
- Strong knowledge of Restful services, HTTP Protocols, Swagger/Open API
- Proficient in API test automation using Postman
- Proficiency in integrating automation tests (Postman and Newman) with CI/CD pipelines using GitLab
- Experience in testing basic API security vulnerabilities using Gitlab’s inbuilt SAST and DAST solutions
- Experience with Google Cloud Services, such as Google Cloud Functions, Google App Engine, or Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
- In-depth knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Experience with test management tools such as Jira, XRAY, and Confluence
- Good understanding of JavaScript
- Familiarity with OAuth 2.0, JWT, and API authentication/authorization mechanisms
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
