Infrastructure Engineer

Senior Systems Administrator / Infrastructure Engineer £75,000 Mostly Remote - UK based (with occasional travel to Cheltenham a couple of times a year) We are working with a PLC Backed tech scale up who are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer or Senior Systems Administrator to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining computer systems and servers, with a focus on Microsoft Azure, PostgreSQL, Azure Functions, REST APIs, and SaaS integration tools. Responsibilities include: Manage and maintain the companies Azure based Infrastructure Designing and implement azure based solutions such as logic apps, platform as a service features and managed container services Designing and implementing security policies, Building and maintaining a Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipeline Build and maintain automation processes using tools like Ansible Influencing future systems architecture and technology stack. A successful candidate will have: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is ideal Azure experience At least 4-5 years’ experience within a Sys Admin or Azure Infrastructure Engineer role or similar (Azure DevOps) Strong knowledge of operating systems, network protocols, and web technologies. Automation tools such as Ansible Excellent problem-solving skills, and strong communication and interpersonal skills are also necessary. Ideally you will have experience with/in most of the following: PostgreSQL, Azure Functions, REST APIs, Virtualization/container solutions such as VMware, Docker, Kubernetes.
