We are seeking a school leaver with an interest in science, sorry this is not a role for a graduate with a scientific degree as the level of laboratory experience is minimal and the role is more of a physical one. This position offers a unique opportunity for a motivated individual with a secondary school education or equivalent, including skills in Maths, English, together with a science subject. The ideal candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, enabling effective collaboration within our dynamic team. Key responsibilities – Junior Laboratory Assistant: * Perform Laboratory activities including but not limited to: * Analysis of simple gas products * Ensure correct and efficient updating of the laboratory database and company computer systems. * Comply with work procedures * Work under close supervision following established routines * Contribute with assistance of more senior technician * Perform routine day to day tasks * Ensure final preparations and checks are complete prior to equipment being released for despatch * Participate in training under supervision from a senior technician * Undertake any reasonable activity as required and requested Personal specification – Junior Laboratory Assistant: * Exceptional attendance and punctuality * Housekeeping awareness * Positive attitude * Ability to learn key aspects of role * Customer focused * Action orientated * Excellent communication skills * Comply with and promote the Company Business Management System, including Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality requirements as appropriate Company benefits: 33 days holidays including local holidays, Bonus Scheme (yearly, % of salary), Private Medical Insurance, Life Assurance, Contributory Pension Scheme, EAP scheme, free tea and coffee
